My name is Simon Olney, I'm a professional triathlon coach working with the team at 113 events to provide you with all the support you need to achieve your goals on race day.

Meet Your Coach
My name is Simon Olney, I'm a British Triathlon High Performing Coach who has been in the sport of triathlon since 2012, and first raced with 113 events in 2014.
My first time round the course was a disaster, finishing the run 90 minutes slower than my expectations. The reason? The wrong kind of training, poor nutrition and a complete naivety about what it takes to succeed over the distance.
In 2016 I left my career in the film industry to train as a triathlon coach. Focused not on training Olympians and professionals, but rather helping everyday athletes achieve their dreams in the sport.
Training Plans
These plans are all delivered through TrainingPeaks, the world leader in triathlon software. The targets in the workouts are automatically adjusted to your fitness level, and workouts are sent straight to your fitness device for you to follow as you hit the road, trail or pool.
Please note that these plans are branded as 70.3 (the IRONMAN branded distance), but these are the same length as the 113 events so the plans will be perfectly suitable.
Middle Distance From Scratch
These plans are designed for those who have minimal experience in swimming, cycling or running, but big dreams of finishing their first middle distance race.

Step up to Middle Distance
These plans are designed for those who have already completed an Olympic distance triathlon, or are very confident in their ability to complete one. They help you navigate the increase in volume to ensure that you can do yourself justice on the course, without blowing up or getting injured.

Middle Distance PB Plans
These plans are written for those who have already completed a middle distance event, are and are looking to set a personal best over the distance. These plans may also be suitable for those who already perfuming at a very high level in endurance sport.

These plans are written for those who have are looking to be right at the pointy end of affairs over the middle distance. Those who are looking to achieve a podium in their age group, or even represent their country on the world stage.
