WHAT IS A COACHED TRAINING PLAN?

Exclusive to Phazon Triathlon, coached training plans are the ideal way for athletes to get the help they need on a budget.

As an experienced and fully qualified coach, my time isn't cheap. And writing training plans from scratch takes a lot of time. As a result, my fully bespoke coaching costs £250 a month. While I would like to think this is a competitive rate and offers excellent value, it still puts it out of reach of many. 

A coached training plan is based on the foundations of a pre-existing plan, but customised around you with regular check ins and coached sessions

The Plan

After purchasing you will receive full, immediate access to your training plan. 

Delivered via TrainingPeaks, workouts are set to your ability level and sent directly to your fitness device for you to follow with real time targets. 

During our first session the plan will be personalised around you. Sunday a non negotiable family day? Experienced runner but new to triathlon? Work unusual hours? The plan will be built around you, moving, removing, adding or changing sessions as needed. 

Coached Sessions

At the start of every month we sit down for an online meeting. We start with an update from you on how the training is going, and what your next month looks like, so we can get the next month of training locked in.

We then kick off with a coached session covering tricky areas of triathlon that falls outside of the fitness gained by following a plan. 

The number of sessions and content of the sessions varies depending on the length and level of the plan. You can find the breakdown of each session on the sales page for each plan, but here are some example sessions:

-Swimming technique
-Bike maintenance
-Race day nutrition
-Analysis of the course
-Sports Science
-Day to day nutrition

These sessions allow you to make the most of my experience and knowledge, ensuring you avoid any blunders on race day that cause all of your training to count for nothing.

TrainingPeaks Premium

To excel in endurance sport, you need to understand your data and your progression. That's why I include a premium TrainingPeaks subscription with my coached training plans.

This allows you to keep track of your progress, move workouts around your calendar and edit your uploaded sessions if necessary.

It also gives you access to the TrainingPeaks Virtual indoor cycling platform, which can save you a subscription to Rouvy or Zwift.
